Eating Healthy +

I still feel like that kid (but not as much as I used to).

Those ladies are REALLY speaking my language (well, ZW 2009).

But a couple months ago my life turned a corner, for a lot of reasons.

I’ve been working out deliberately for a couple years, but I started to step it up with #pushupclub and crunches and planks (OH MY!), and I honestly feel AWESOME. I feel when I need to drink more water; I’ve replaced chips with almonds; I’ve decreased my bread intake; Fruit smoothies with protein are incredible snacks; I want to hit the gym when I eat latenight. I enjoy my favorite foods more when I’ve worked out.

My favorite foods include Steak, Steak, Bacon, Coffee, Chocolate Cake and Steak.

And Now… VegetablesBut broccoli? Broccoli still sucks.

You Are Here

ONION HEAD MONSTER, Artwork by PAUL FRIEDRICH

“You Are Here” hangs on the wall in my bedroom. I see it when I wake up and — because it can take a while for the ZW gears to slow down when I do decide to sleep — I end up staring at that quote every night. It’s a great reminder for me to stay in the moment and to fully appreciate wherever HERE may be each day.

I am extremely happy with my life.

But I’ve not always been completely satisfied (SHOCK! What!?) — During times in both my personal and professional life when I needed to face difficult situations, as my first step, I would acknowledge and simply accept where HERE was so that I could work towards effective change and not end up THERE again.

Group Dynamics in Boston

Hey Boston! I’m coming to town for the Boston Improv Festival to rock Fritter Kings with Rene Duquesnoy. While I’m exploring Cambridge for the FOURTH time this year, I’ll probably hit up another Brewery Tour, but I’m also teaching an Improv Workshop on Saturday Sept 11, 3 – 5pm.

Organic Group Dynamics with Zach Ward

Learn to improvise seriously funny group games that DESTROY the wooshy grad school performance art pieces you normally do after first beat scenes! Do you want to exploit comedy every time you perform? If you can be disciplined enough to improvise group scenes as an ensemble without speaking imagine the possibilities when you say your hilarious words. Yeah, you. Zach coaches you to focus, listen, heighten, and deliver the funniest possible scenes — As an Ensemble — EVERY SINGLE TIME! (register online)

For my non-Boston readers, I’ve booked a suite at the Hotel Marlowe with Jaime&Rene and JRev so you can expect another flipcam tour (zebra robes and hot tubs GUARANTEED).
