Great Workout, Zach!

QUESTION: Am I THAT easy? I’m about to drop everything on my Task List and head to the gym on a productive Tuesday afternoon because I cannot wait for a “Great Workout!” — motivation from equipment programmed to say “Great Workout!” regardless of how Great my workout actually is.

ANSWER: Yeah, I AM that easy. At least, it’s started to happen. Lately the raw adrenaline, endorphins and comments on my appearance (READ: weight loss, not to mention how I feel after working out and how much EASIER working out has become) — Lately ZW Works Out has taken over and I love it.

Now to the gym. Back to the blog later.

Eating Healthy +

I still feel like that kid (but not as much as I used to).

Those ladies are REALLY speaking my language (well, ZW 2009).

But a couple months ago my life turned a corner, for a lot of reasons.

I’ve been working out deliberately for a couple years, but I started to step it up with #pushupclub and crunches and planks (OH MY!), and I honestly feel AWESOME. I feel when I need to drink more water; I’ve replaced chips with almonds; I’ve decreased my bread intake; Fruit smoothies with protein are incredible snacks; I want to hit the gym when I eat latenight. I enjoy my favorite foods more when I’ve worked out.

My favorite foods include Steak, Steak, Bacon, Coffee, Chocolate Cake and Steak.

And Now… VegetablesBut broccoli? Broccoli still sucks.

ZW Works Out with Rajeev

My apologies to Corey Brown. Because I was delinquent in posting my latest work out clip, Corey suffered. I drafted this post on Sunday 11/1/09, but now I’ve made plans to work out with Rajeev FOR REAL tomorrow – Yeah, ZW Works Out AGAIN – November 12th, so I thought I should publish now and get myself and the blog ready for my next ZW Works Out post – ready to drop Friday afternoon, Yo!

In this clip (just part of my New series from the Elliptical machines at Carolina Fitness) we talk about my IMPROV 201 class and how “Game of the Scene” relates to the US Air Force and the OODA Loop. After I worked out I ate Lean Cuisine Chicken Club Panini. It was fantastic.

What should I talk about tomorrow? I’m meeting Rajeev at 9am. He accepted my challenge of 45 minutes of ellipses if I agreed to lift. We’ll see how that goes. ZW clips are all shot with an HD Flip cam from the dash of the machine. I might talk about life, my workout progress, improv, comedy, producing festivals, running a small business or maybe I’ll just do sweaty bits.

Awesome.
